As with all servo motors, we start the repair with our lengthy evaluation process which includes several electrical and mechanical testing methods, such as:
• Surge test – to see if the stator still has proper integrity
• Back EMF – to check the magnetic rotor strength
• And Megger testing – or resistence to ground
• We also torque test the brake if present, mechanical tolerance checks on bearing shaft and housing fits, and verify the feedback device on the motor.
We perform all aspects of the repair in-house such as, any necessary machining, replacing bearings and seals and any broken connectors and rewinding the stator, if needed.
