Retrofitting

There are several key issues with your ‘Tube Monitors’ that will have to be addressed in the near future. While repair of these units has provided significant cost savings in the past, maintaining these units is becoming more difficult due to the planned obsolescence of the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube or Picture Tube). The old tubes are toxic and polluting our landfills. Other considerations are the energy these units consume and heat that they produce, decreasing their life expectancy. These devices are also prone to ‘Screen Burn-In’, the condition that occurs when the same characters are displayed for a prolonged period of time.

An LCD conversion addresses all of these issues. They are readily available in the size and configuration you require. They use less energy, and operate at a low temperature, increasing the life of the unit and your energy costs. They are not prone to ‘Screen Burn-In’. Their resolution is far superior to the CRT.
